Drive MDK motor The GROMMY motor is specially designed and manufactured to be neat, small, light and reliable, and delivers just the right amount of power to make the GROMMY fun, safe and the best way for children to learn balance and control. The low, center-mounted position of the slim, brushless, maximum 250 W output motor is an important element of the GROMMY's handling. Mondraker's integrated approach to e-bikes, including the ultralight Carbon Crafty RR SL, informs the design and positioning of the motor, drivetrain and battery. Learning the three-speed controls is child's play. The training starts with the first setting “Balance” (maximum speed 8.1 km/h) and the smile widens when you select 2, “Fun” and and 3, “Advanced” (max 17.7 km/h). Or you can turn off the GROMMY's motor and kids can use it as a traditional balance bike. For GROMMY, Mondraker also decided to make his batteries to order. They are lightweight and designed to be very easy and safe to replace. With each battery pack lasting up to 60 minutes (depending on which power mode the kids ride!) with a full charge taking just 60 minutes, a simple change keeps GROMMY running for as long as your youngsters can. The motor and battery are IPX4 waterproof, and the motor and drive have a custom plastic guard to protect little feet.
