After purchasing a weighted rope at a local store, i was surprised to find out that only the handles were weighted and not the rope. I purchased this item and it exceeded my expectations. The weight is in the rope as it should be. It is a great rope if you are just learning to jump rope as the added weight provides a slower rotation so you can work on your timing. Additionally, it provides an intense workout because of the weight. The rope is highly durable and easily adjustable, you only need a small phillips screwdriver and a pair of scissors or a knife to get the perfect fit.
